Fashion in your Thirties

I remember when I turned 30, I thought to myself, does this mean my personal style has to change now that I’m officially an “adult”? I quickly realized that style shouldn’t have an age next to it, although I will say I tend to look for more timeless pieces these days.  Personal style is what makes you feel good about yourself when you face the world.

I know that can be easier said than done, when everyone feels like they’re a critic these days.  Although we hate to admit it, I know that we as women tend to dress for the approval of others. As I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten to a point where I’m trying dress for myself and not focus so much on others opinions.

The best thing about fashion is that it is truly interpretive. What I love may not be the next persons’ cup of tea. Does that mean that either of us are wrong? Heck no!! I always try to use that philosophy when I am shopping. The best shopping advice I can give is to think to yourself “do I like the way I feel in this item of clothing” Once you’ve answered that, nothing else should matter.
